Mic Conway
Mic Conway is taking some time out from touring with the
“National Junk
Band” and their latest offering ‘Corporate Chook’, to perform solo in
Tasmania. Audiences know Mic and his onstage antics from “Mic Conway’s
National Junk Band”, “Captain Matchbox Whoopee Ban”", “Conway Brothers
Hiccups Orchestra” and “Circus Oz”.
Stripped back, irreverent and shameless, Mic will take to the stage playing
unusual and idiosyncratic tunes that will make your jaw drop, toes tap and
sides split. In a circus of comedy, magic and music he will delight
audiences with something new, something old and something in between. Jug
band music meets vaudeville and the blues. Very funny stuff.
"Entertaining Oz"
Australia has a
history full of drama, struggle, humour and tragedy: just
like any good film or television production. In

award-winning Mic Conway juxtaposes various forms of performance in
Australia against a backdrop of

opera, television, radio, dance, indigenous music, comedy,
film, pop music, vaudeville,
travelling tent shows, home entertainment etc
are set against the times and events
in which they occurred.
Rhythmagician
Mic "Microphone" Conway combines music, magic, juggling,
fire-eating, dancing and some
jaw-dropping acts in a dazzling display of
entertainment and
information.
